  • Three eggs, beaten
  • One half cups white sugar
  • Two tablespoons light brown sugar
  • One half teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • One quarter cup butter, melted
  • Three cups heavy cream
  • 10 slices hearty thick sliced white bread, toasted and cut into cubes
  • One cup raisins (optional)
  • Vanilla Cream Sauce

  • One half cup sugar
  • Three tablespoons light brown sugar
  • One tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • dash of ground nutmeg
  • One large egg
  • Two tablespoons butter, melted
  • One quarter cups heavy cream (whipping cream)
  • One pinch salt
  • One tablespoon pure vanilla extract

How to Make It

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Grease a 2-quart or 9 x 13 baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk 3 eggs, white sugar, Two tablespoons of light brown sugar, One half teaspoon of cinnamon, One quarter cup of butter, and Three cups of heavy cream together, and gently stir in the bread cubes and raisins.
  4. Lightly spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
