Cripsy-Skinned Baked Wings with Honey Chipotle Garlic Sauce

Cripsy-Skinned Baked Wings with Honey Chipotle Garlic Sauce is one of my all-time favorite foods, After doing some research I found this recipe and I have made it in the past and it is absolutely delicious!







What You'll Need



    For the Wings:

  • Three lbs chicken wingettes
  • Two tablespoons baking powder
  • One half teaspoon salt
  • For the Sauce:

  • One half cup ketchup
  • One quarter cup honey
  • One quarter cup brown sugar
  • Four large cloves garlic, minced
  • One canned chipotle chile, minced, plus 1 teaspoon canned adobo sauce
  • Two teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • Salt, to taste
  • Green onion, chopped, to garnish

How to Make It

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a grate on top.
  3. Spray the grate lightly with nonstick spray.
  4. Move the oven rack to the lower middle position.
  5. Dab the chicken wings with a paper towel to dry them.
  6. In a large freezer bag, combine the wingettes, baking powder, and salt, and toss to coat the wings well.
  7. Remove the wings from the bag and lay them out on the grate, skin side up.
  8. Bake on the lower middle rack for 30 minutes.
  9. Move the rack to the upper middle position and increase the temperature to 425 degrees F.
  10. Bake for an additional 45 minutes to One hour or until crisp and golden brown, turning the tray once.
  11. As the wings cook, prepare the sauce.
  12. Combine all of the sauce ingredients (except the green onion) and bring to a boil, stirring often.
  13. Reduce to a low simmer and let cook until slightly reduced and the wings are baked.
  14. Toss the wings in the sauce and garnish with green onion.
  15. Serve warm.
